What is Arthur’s Jewelers return policy?
Arthur’s stands behind their merchandise 100%. Although highly unlikely, if you are not happy with your selection, you may return it for a full refund within 30 days. Shipping charges cannot be refunded. All sales are final on any custom made or special order items. No return or exchange can be offered on these types of items.

Shipping Questions:

 

Is it safe to receive diamonds and jewelry in the mail?

Absolutely.  We fully insure each order all the way to you.  While your ring is in transit to your address, it is always risk free.  For added security, it is our policy that a signature is required for all orders, regardless of any signature waivers you may have on file with UPS.

 

Can I have my order shipped to a different address to keep my purchase a surprise?

If you prefer, we can ship your order to an address other than your billing address.  In order to do this and for added security purposes, we require that your alternate address be on file with your credit card company.  This prevents fraudulent charges to your credit card.

 

Will you deliver on Saturdays?

If you can only receive your delivery on a Saturday, we may be able to arrange for UPS Saturday delivery.  This service is available in many cities and is subject to availability and additional fees.  You may have to pick up the package at the UPS service center nearest you.  If you are interested in this delivery option please call a diamond expert at 1(888) 405-4343.

 

Do you ship internationally?

We ship free to most countries, however there are some limitations. We will pay the duties and taxes for your shipment. 

 

How long does it take to receive my order?

On all orders that are in stock, they will be shipped out in 24-48 hours.  Arthur’s will send out the order to you using UPS 2nd day air.  This is free of charge.  For a nominal upgrade of $25 we will send out your order UPS overnight.

Special orders can take 4-6 weeks for delivery.

How do I track my order after it has been shipped?

You can track your package directly on our site with your confirmation tracking number.

 

Will I be charged sales tax?

Sales tax is only collected from customers in the state of Minnesota.

What are my payment options?

If you are in the located in the United States and Puerto Rico, you may pay by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, debit card or Pay Pal for immediate delivery. You may also pay by personal check, money order, cashier’s check, or certified check, for these payment options we do have to wait 10 days for processing.

 

Insurance and Appraisals:

Is it important to have insurance?
Yes. Insurance companies will cover your jewelry for loss, theft and damage. Consult your insurance agent about adding a jewelry rider to your homeowners or renters policy, or contact Jewelers Mutual. You will need an appraisal for coverage, which we provide with every item we sell. 

Does Arthur’s offer appraisals?

Arthur’s offers you free insurance appraisals for any item purchased.  We also will appraise your diamonds, gold, platinum, and pearls.  The charge for appraisals is $125 for the first item and $75 each additional piece.

How often should I have my jewelry appraised?
For insurance purposes, on large value items you should renew your appraisals every 3-4 years to be current with inflation. If you purchase a jewelry item from us, we keep your appraisal information on file, so that you may simply call to have us reevaluate the items.

Does it matter who appraises my jewelry?
Appraisals should be performed by a qualified gemologist.

 

Diamond and Engagement Ring Questions:

Is it necessary to buy a graded stone?
Buying a graded stone protects the purchaser. The independent grading ensures that you are getting what you pay for. There are many laboratories that grade diamonds, so make sure that the certificate comes from a reputable grading lab such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).

Are graded stones more expensive?
No. With a graded stone, you have proof of a true and proper grading; therefore, you know what you are paying for. The GIA is a non-profit gem grading lab, and the report will not add cost to the stone.

How often should my diamond and setting be checked?
You want to be sure that the stone is secure in its setting. Everyday wear and tear can jar the stone a little, and you don't want to look down at your finger to find your stone is missing. Have your setting checked by Arthur’s every six months. We perform this service for free on all the jewelry we sell, you only pay for shipping and insurance. What is the best way to care for and clean a diamond?

Here are some general guidelines: avoid wearing your diamonds while doing housework, yard work or any kind of rough work.  Even though a diamond is extremely durable, a hard blow could chip it.  Also, avoid harsh chemicals while doing household chores, especially chlorine bleach.

The best way to clean your diamonds is to come into Arthur’s for a free professional cleaning and inspection.  At home, you can use jewelry cleaner or use a bowl of warm water with a mild soap.  Brush the pieces with a soft brush and then rinse under water.  Then dry your piece of jewelry with a soft cloth.

 

What if I need my ring resized?

If your Arthur’s ring does not fit, we will resize your ring free for life.  No other jeweler offers you this length in time.  This is just another way that Arthur’s delivers you an incredible jewelry buying experience.  Resizing your ring will take 7-14 business days.  See our shipping instructions under about Arthur’s, and then under our shipping policies.

 

Are Arthur’s Diamonds Conflict Free?

Arthur’s is committed to the highest degree in ethics in our industry.  Arthur’s only purchases diamonds through respected and legal channels.  Arthur’s supports the bill passed adopting the Kimberly Process that requires diamonds to come from legitimate channels. 

 

Do you sell fancy colored diamonds?

Do you trade in diamonds or offer upgrades?

Arthur’s has the best trade-in program in the nation.  At any time you may trade your original Arthur’s diamond purchase in towards any other diamond from Arthur’s.  Arthur’s will give you:

Arthur’s will give you exactly what you paid for your diamond, excluding sales tax.  Plus, any increase in value your diamond has attained over the years you have owned it.

 

You only have to spend $1 more.  Most jewelers require you to spend double your original amount.

 

You can trade in your diamond any number of times.  Watch your diamond grow over the years to a 2-4 carat diamond.  Arthur's truly has unbeatable diamond values

 

Why is platinum more expensive than gold?
Platinum is a heavier and harder metal than gold, and the price per gram on the open market is higher. Also, it is much more difficult to work with and requires more highly trained craftsmen to make jewelry.

What is the best way to store jewelry that I don't wear day-to-day?
Diamonds and other stones can scratch each other if they rub together, and this damages the polish characteristic. It is best to store your jewelry items in a soft jeweler's cloth so that they don't come in contact unnecessarily. And be sure to store valuable items in a safe place. Even if you have insurance, jewelry loss can be a very emotional experience, and you may never be able to replace some pieces.

What do I do if I don't know my girlfriend's ring size?
If there's no way that you can slyly get that information from her, we suggest our standard stock size for gift giving purposes. After the surprise is over, and you know her correct size, you can return it to us, and we will size it free of charge. You will only pay for shipping and insurance.

How long does it take to order a Tacori Engagement Ring?

Availability: Tacori rings in stock, ship within 48 hours.  Since Tacori rings are custom made to fit the center diamond, and her finger size, it may be necessary to order it from Tacori, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. We will contact you, if your Tacori ring needs to be ordered. 

 

What metals choices do Tacori Rings come in?

Tacori engagement rings, Tacori wedding bands and Tacori fine jewelry come in your choice of Platinum, 18kt white or yellow gold.  Whichever metal you choose, you'll love your Tacori ring.  Tacori Designs are as unique as you are.
