The hidden symbol of love

Did you know that a heart shape form is embedded within every Tacori engagement ring and wedding ring, it was their designers' innovative vision for the signature crescent? The top scalloped portion of the heart creates the shape for the crescent pattern, creating a hidden symbol of love. This is Tacori's signature touch.

For the lover of all things classic, the Classic Crescent collection started it all with the iconic Tacori crescents set with diamonds on the inner face of the ring.

Horizon Shine by Tacori

Brand New Collection: Horizon Shine by Tacori

by: Amy Nogai

Every year one of my favorite designers, Tacori always comes up with new jewelry designs, and engagement rings.  This year I think Tacori has hit it out of the park... this new collection of jewelry now features two new gemstones; Labradorite and Green Chalcedony.

This green color is so pretty.  The best part of this collection is that everything retails for under $500.

Doron Hakimian

Doron Hakimian, president and chief designer of Doves by Doron Paloma, was always a jewelry enthusiast. Anniversary Gifts by Year

Gifts of precious metals or gemstones associated with each anniversary year have grown in popularity. Use the timeline below to find the perfect gift for your upcoming anniversary.

The first year of marriage is filled with wonderful memories, and the gift of gold is a perfect way to commemorate them. Choose a piece of jewelry in white or yellow gold for a classic first-anniversary present. For a more distinctive look choose rose gold, it is especially popular in contemporary or vintage styles.

For celebrating your second wedding anniversary a traditional gemstone is garnet. Garnet comes in a variety of colors, but its most famous hue is a deep, red. Draw upon the beauty of this gemstone’s storied history by selecting a vintage pendant for your loved one. If you’re searching for something modern, our garnet rings and earrings are a beautiful choice.

Pearls are unique in that they originate from the sea, the traditional gems of third wedding anniversaries. They’ve been treasured since ancient times, and they’re so naturally lustrous that they require no cutting or polishing.  Pearl earrings and necklaces are among the most classic jewelry pieces, ensuring your third-anniversary gift is a piece she can wear forever.

The most popular Topaz hue is a blue shade, the perfect gift for your fourth wedding anniversary. Topaz has high clarity and brilliance, making it shine beautifully in the center of rings, necklaces, and earrings. It is also an 8 on the Mohs scale of hardness, ensuring its durability.

The traditional gemstones of fifth year wedding anniversaries aer Sapphires, which have historically symbolized truth and loyalty. Available in nearly every hue, from regal blues to feminine pinks, sapphires can suit many styles. A sapphire anniversary band is a classic gift that is sure to please. Sapphire pendants and earrings are also lovely, time-honored gifts.

A milestone occasion is the ten year wedding anniversary, so for this special occasion, it is diamonds. Prized for their brilliant sparkle and superior hardness, diamonds adorn many of our most sought-after jewelry pieces. A diamond ring is both sentimental and beautiful, often reminiscent of the day you exchanged rings years before. Diamond earrings, whether classic studs, sophisticated drops, or glamorous hoops, are also a beautiful choice.

A fifteenth wedding anniversary is traditionally associated with the ruby. The ruby has historically symbolized prosperity and peace. Prized for their hardness and durability as well as their deep, red hue, rubies are the center stone in many of our most sought-after vintage pieces.  Ruby jewelry is timeless, and selecting a vintage ruby ring is a beautiful way to celebrate your history together on your 15th anniversary.

The official gemstone of 20th anniversaries is emerald, whose luminous green hue has also led to its recognition as the gemstone of royalty. Our collection of emerald pendants, earrings, and rings feature designs that are a beautiful way to commemorate your 20th anniversary.

Cobalt Wedding RingCobaltDetails: Cobalt Chrome is an alloy, made up of a mixture of Chromium, Cobalt and a few other metals. Cobalt Chrome is a bright white metal with a brilliant luster. Diamond Shapes and Prices

Can you guess the most affordable diamond shape?

The diamond shape directly influences the price of a diamond. The most popular diamond shape is round and they tend to be higher priced than other shapes because of the demand, the cost of manufacturing and the diamond's brilliance.

Arthur's Jewelers offers nine different fancy shapes, including princess, emerald, Asscher, cushion, marquise, radiant, oval, pear, and heart.

To show how shape affects the diamond price, we’ve pulled 10 differently shaped diamonds directly from our Diamond Search.
